Yeah it hurt a bit in certain parts, but it was definetly worth it. The kanji means valuable life.

I actually wanted a piece that incorporated a lot of symbols that are important in my life, and as I couldn't find one elsewhere, I just had one made to my specs.

Not at all. I couldn't find anything that fit what I wanted in my 'first choice,' so I had one made for me. It's a custom tattoo that I had drawn up with symbols that are specific to me.
